A classic Louisiana Shrimp Creole — chunky vegetables, diced tomatoes, and seasoned shrimp simmered in a rich Creole sauce. Serve over rice and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2–3 lbs boiled or raw shrimp
  • 1 cup celery, cut chunky
  • 1 cup onion, cut chunky
  • 2 (16 oz) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (10 oz) can Rotel tomatoes
  • 1 cup juice from tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • ¼ cup oil
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Cajun Smoke Season-It-All

Instructions

    Drain tomato liquid from cans into a bowl. Add Cajun Smoke Season-It-All, chili powder, and flour, mix well and set aside.

    Add oil to pan. When hot, add celery and onion and fry for 5 minutes.

    Add diced tomatoes and Rotel and simmer for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add vinegar and shrimp and simmer for 7 minutes.

    Add the tomato liquid mixture, stir and bring to a boil.

  6. 6

    Reduce heat to low/medium, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

  7. 7

    Serve over rice and enjoy!
